How do I make a featured item take priority?

Step One: Select the proper tool

Click on the 'Merchandising' link under the 'Website' heading in the Control Panel menu. Then, click on 'Featured Items' tool on the right side panel.


Step Two: Click the edit button

Click the 'Edit' button to go to its settings page.


Step Three: Access the proper tab

Click on the 'ADD ITEMS BY ID' tab. 



Notes Tip: The featured item page is a results page and is sorted in the default order.                                                                                                                                 

Step Four: Turn on toggle switch

If you'd like your soon to be added 'Featured Items' to take priority, turn on the toggle switch of 'Yes' at the 'When using a manual selection, should the items below take priority in the Featured widget?' prompt.


Enter the ID of the item or items that you would like to prioritize being featured in 'Search Items' textbox and click on '+ ADD BOOK(s)' button.


You will see newly added item in the list below. When you are finished adding your featured items, click the 'SAVE' button to finalize.
