There are three ways of selecting Featured Items: you can specify search criteria, specify items by ID, or do a combination of both.
Short List Size is the number of items that will appear on your homepage.
Full List Size is the maximum number of items that will be randomly selected for rotation on your featured items page.
Each day, a list of items will be selected from your inventory matching the Full List Size. From that list, a subset of items will be selected for display on your homepage matching the Short List Size .
To begin, click on 'Featured Items' under the 'Inventory' heading on the Control Panel menu.
You can enter multiple search criteria to select featured items for display on your website. When you are finished, click 'Save Changes' to update your settings.
'Lists' includes categories and catalogs to choose from.
Next to 'Keywords,' if you choose 'AND,' then the search will be narrowed to items that match all keywords. If you choose 'OR,' then the search will include items that match any of the keywords.
If you only want to show Items by ID, change the 'Use search criteria?' radio button to 'No' and specify the short list size, full list size, and rotation frequency. Click 'Save Changes' to update your settings.
Then, click on the 'Add Items By ID' tab. Enter the IDs of the items that you would like to feature. When you are finished, click 'Save Changes.'
